Abstract

This study examined the types of bacteria present in petroleum soil. To identify the species we isolated DNA from bacteria samples. By serial dilution of soil sample we cultured bacteria. Bacterial isolation by using cultures. Bacterial DNA samples were subjected to PCR to get amplification. Extracted the DNA from agarose gel then sequenced the samples, which includes both forward and reverse sequencing. Sequencing results were put in bioinformatics software called BLAST gives the name of the microorganisms.
